McIntosh RS150

The RS150 Wireless Loudspeaker offers an easy-to-use, compact wireless audio solution that still delivers the larger-than-life sound McIntosh is renowned for. It’s a standalone speaker that doesn’t require a dedicated control app, instead providing built-in casting technologies like Spotify® Connect, TIDAL® Connect, Apple® AirPlay® 2, Bluetooth®, Chromecast, and Roon Ready. These features let you stream effortlessly from your smart devices, making the RS150 an ideal introduction to McIntosh’s legendary sound performance.

Replacing the successful RS100, the RS150 includes a number of thoughtful upgrades to enhance usability. The most notable change is the elimination of a special control app, allowing direct control from your favorite compatible streaming apps.

The RS150’s power output has been doubled, with the woofer now receiving 90 watts and the tweeter 30 watts. The woofer itself has been upgraded from a 4" to a 5-1/4" diameter driver, and along with a redesigned woofer enclosure, this produces higher output, reduced distortion, and deeper bass extension. Bass control is now available, allowing you to tailor low-end performance to your room and personal listening preferences, all contributing to McIntosh’s signature sound quality.

With support for TIDAL HiFi's 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution playback and Roon Ready certification, the RS150 delivers superior streaming performance. It’s also equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, supporting high-bitrate AAC and Qualcomm® aptX™ HD for high-res audio. Additionally, Qualcomm aptX Low Latency ensures audio syncs perfectly with visual media.

The RS150 introduces an illuminated digital output meter, exclusive to the RS150 and RS250 models. This meter, utilizing the same trusted circuits as McIntosh’s analog meters, provides a dynamic, pulsating visual representation of audio signals, offering a striking digital display that mirrors the familiar McIntosh aesthetic. The lower section of the front panel features a glass panel, with a removable speaker grille above it that exposes the upgraded woofer and tweeter.
